Maple Street Biscuit Company, where my taste buds were baptized in maple goodness and my waistband got an upgrade! First off, let’s talk about the maple iced coffee. Holy syrupy heaven! I’m pretty sure they just straight-up poured maple syrup, a little caffeine, and a splash of ‘goodbye productivity’ into that cup. Each sip felt like a sweet, sticky hug from a Canadian lumberjack in a flannel. Now, onto the five and dime taco. I don’t even know where to start. Imagine a biscuit so fluffy it probably had its own cloud membership, stacked with fried chicken, smoked bacon, cheddar, and eggs. Then they slap on some gravy for good measure. This thing is so loaded, I felt like I needed a nap halfway through. I’m convinced this taco could bring world peace if only it didn’t make people too full to negotiate. All in all, Maple Street Biscuit Co. was an experience. They should hand out stretchy pants with each meal. 10/10 would let this place ruin my diet again.
If you want phenomenal food and service, you must come here. Shantia was an absolute gem, truly the best waitress and a genuinely wonderful and kind soul. We will be coming back here before our vacation ends just to see her and get our favorite biscuit sandwiches again (we loved the farmer and the bacon egg and cheese). Also if you’re debating whether or not to get the hashbrowns, you definitely need them.
The food was DELICIOUS! I had the Goat cheese and chicken taco and the steak taco!! Shantia was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Great energy, super friendly!!! She is their signature to making the experience!
After an hour of sitting patiently, an employee finally asked about my order. They apparently lost the ticket. There was no apology. I asked for, and received, a refund. I really love the food, but the speed and service here has really gone down the drain. I won’t return until the manager turns this place upside down. My last three visits here have been train wrecks. Shantia has a great personality and does well with customers. She solicits reviews from happy customers, hence all the rave five-star reviews, and as a result, that is masking a major problem. It's 100% back of house. It's understaffed by a crew with no sense of urgency. The chicken fried steak biscuit, to this day, is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Thick, tough, overcooked sinewy. Whoever cooked that had no idea what they were doing. Elsewhere there's little consistency. The gravy tastes entirely different with each visit. Front-of-house staff is undertrained as well. I almost always order "The Five." There is a separate biscuit named "The Five and Dime" which comes with an egg. It is more expensive. On this visit they charged me for The Five and Dime, and then made a note to not include egg. If this was intentional, it borders on fraud.
Yummy biscuits, chicken, pepper jelly, and maple syrup! The Iron Goat and smashbrowns were pretty good but my favorite was the chicken biscuit, next time I'll definitely be trying the squawking goat next time now that I know I like everything that goes on it. Thank you!
