Okay, I was hungry, but it really was great. I parked in the ramp and at the hostess station they immediately validated parking. The waitress (Taylor)was great! Attentive but not too much so that you felt rushed. We ordered ribs with tots, and a black/blue burger with fries. Order did not take long at all and was cooked as ordered. Both were delicious. Staff were very friendly, offered to take photos etc.
It would be a very nice place if not for a very unwelcoming ( or better to say rude) receptionist. We would have definitely left and never be able to enjoy the delights of the place if it hadn’t been for a friend of ours who was parking already and who was very keen on showing us this place. The day was chilly and we wanted to sit outside because AC was very strong. We were snapped at that it’s against the policy of the restaurant ( why then there were tables outside?) Later on our nice and very friendly and capable server told us that of course we could have sat outside. ???? Tasty burgers and very interesting sorts of beer, but the decorations are a must see, even if you decide not to dine there. A little bit confusing happy hour policy, but you can work it out.
The decor is really fabulous, and the theme is carried out throughout the restaurant, as evidenced by gas pump door handles, beer keg urinals, and spare tire sinks. Really hesitated before giving three-star review, but it was really about the food, and that is one of the main reasons, after all, of going out to a restaurant. The food was fine. I had the absolutely basic cheeseburger, and it was tasty enough. A person having Thai chicken salad enjoyed hers. Everyone else thought that their dish was fine, but nothing really stood out, or was memorable enough to make us to run back there. I'm sure we will go back at some point, and try some different things. There are plenty of restaurants we go to because we like a particular dish there. The service was excellent, and we will take Ford's around the track one more time.
As you go onto the restaurant, you're met with a very interesting theme. Car parts are part of the decorations as well as the furniture. We sat quickly, and our drink orders were taken. Staff was friendly. Took our order, and it was about 35-40mins to get our order. I got the estate burger after starting to eat, and it realized it was raw in the middle(supposed to be medium rare). Management quickly came over after hearing and got another burger out quickly (this one came out medium but was still good). I did get the marmalade put to the side, and it made it too sweet. I got the sweet potato tots, but they tasted more like a funny cheese curd than sweet potatoes. Overall, the food was good.
We absolutely loved it here. The food was amazing. Some of the best burgers we've ever had. The decor and atmosphere is great. The best part.....everything was actually reasonably priced. For 3 of us to eat with a dessert and 2 drinks was $66. I'll be back here as often as I can.
