Great Food here every thing came out nice and Hot and fresh. The grouper was tasty and spiced Good with a nice crisp. The frys were great also. The chips and salsa were really good also.good service by the bar tender also. Can't ask for much more give them a try.
Much more variety than the run of the mill bar/tavern.... The menu is surprisingly varied from "bar food". So tired of the menus that have fried everything and nachos seven ways. That is not this place. They have seasonal menus and I had a delicious brat on a a pretzel role with hot German potato salad - the best I have ever tasted. Service was friendly but could have been more attentive. We asked for a few things that never happened but we were there for almost four hours for Sunday afternoon football. All in all, would definitely return.
I've been coming to The Galley for years. It's good for a quick lunch in the middle of the work week, sports night or if you need a place to chill out a bit while barhopping downtown. Sports nights can get a bit crowded and loud but it's nice to see some hometown spirit and on the weekends it is definitely a staple for the local college crowd. The food is always hot and the beer is always cold. The employees are always friendly and take the time to make you feel seen even during their busier times, a few bartenders/waiters in particular most definitely never fail to go the extra mile.
This eatery came recommended by a local bartender that we met and we were so glad that we took her advice. The atmosphere was fun. The service was fast, fun, and professional. The food was hot, tasty, and creative. I had the Grouper sandwich with lemon aioli and fried capers...yes, fried capers. I recommend The Galley as long as you visit them with the laid-back attitude that you should carry with you when visiting St. Pete!
Deven was awesome as were all the wait staff. Great food and great Old Fashion. Will be back.
