Went for a late night birthday dinner and enjoyed the delicious appetizers (we were too hungry & excited to get good pics) and the ramen did not disappoint. Gyoza were excellent. The tuna crispy rice was just okay. It needed something to add flavor - lacking salt, spice & acidity. Ramen Broth was very rich & had perfect mouthfeel. The chopped greens added a nice freshness & crunch. The eggs were perfectly jammy. The braised short rib, however, was next level delicious. It had such a beautiful smoky & earthy flavor.
Amazing ! This was the best Ramen I have ever had. I had Tara as a server and she was so friendly and patient with us explaining the menu. All her recommendations we spot on! The ac was out in the restaurant this day but everyone was still super nice even though it was hot. Kudos! We will be back
Hands down, best Japanese restaurant in St. Pete! I loved everything we ordered. All meals has different shades of flavors - chef definitely knows what they are doing. Affordable, but food tastes better than in some $$$$ restaurants. It’s not just a hipster place, go try it!
Buya Ramen: where dreams come true, but only if your dreams involve epic bowls of ramen, crispy duck, and a life-changing ajitama egg. Seriously, I had an out-of-body experience halfway through the Crispy Duck Ramen. By the time I finished, I was fluent in five new languages, and I swear I saw my future self thanking me for this meal. The Braised Short Rib Ramen? That’s the stuff of legends. I felt like I was eating in a ramen dojo, sparring with the rich pork tonkotsu broth while the short rib whispered sweet nothings to my taste buds. But let’s not forget the Mushroom Ramen – a fungi-fueled festival for the mouth. I mean, who knew mushrooms could bring such enlightenment? One slurp and I was contemplating the deeper mysteries of the universe, like why we all don’t eat more ramen daily. The Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl? It’s basically an edible vacation to sushi paradise. My tongue went snorkeling through waves of yellowfin tuna and avocado, and the sriracha aioli was like a sunburn that hurts so good. In conclusion, Buya Ramen will ruin all other ramen for you. If you're in St. Petersburg, Florida, you must visit this fantastic restaurant! The experience was absolutely wonderful. I tried the Crispy Duck Ramen, and my friend had the Braised Short Rib Ramen—both dishes were spectacular! The flavors were rich and well-balanced. Our server, Evan, was amazing, providing excellent recommendations and attentive service. We also tried a non-filtered sake that was incredible. Best ramen we've had so far! Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable dining experience.
