We have gone to Baycrest several times and have been happy with the vets and services. Recently they were able to make accommodations to see a sick pet with several hours. Dr Arthur is very knowledgeable and all the staff were very nice. They are also reasonably priced!
Took our Boxer for her first vet visit at Baycrest to have a tumor biopsied. The staff was very efficient, we were there 20 minutes before appt time and taken back right away. The vet tech Linda was great with our dog. Dr. Arthur was communicative with everything she was doing and straight to the point with the plan ahead. Prices are reasonable. Happy we found this place!
Don't expect compassion from this place if your not a patient. Cat had a litter of kittens 2 died one made it. Called for some advice to ensure the third kitten lives and was asked if they had seen my cat " I said no" they said then to call a rescue.
This is the most amazing vet I have ever been to. They obviously got into this because they love animals. What to expect... (1) Not the fanciest office, which I actually appreciate. I hate paying the costs of fancy flooring my sick dog is going to puke on anyways. (2) Stable staff. They always know what's going on and are organized. (3) Vet techs. Absolutely delightful human beings. Every last one of them. They all obviously love what they do and love their office. (4) Competent doctors. I have had 3 pups in there with them over the years... sometimes with major situations like needing surgery... and I have never had to go back twice. (5) Affordable. As vet prices keep going up, theirs hasn't! Their business model is set up to sustainably keep costs down... we collequially went down a rabbit hole conversation about the industry, but these are some very smart vets. :) Who this place probably isn't for... (1) If you are the type of person who wears high heels to the vet "just because", probably not for you. They are Point A - Point B, no frills / free coffee, get your pet healthy vets. They stay extremely busy and don't need those gimmicks. (2) If you have an emergency, take them to the emergency vet. These guys are popular and stay busy. They aren't set up to triage like an emergency vet would (nor are they advertising they do emergency services).
Best veterinarian I've ever taken my dog to you can tell they're not some big corporate the family-owned and operated and it shows
