A friendly host and a fast and helpful waiter made for a nice welcome and the woody, rather dark interior was a welcome change from the sun's rays. The menu offers a vegetarian mushroom Ramen based on miso broth. The Ramen noodles were nice and springy and the overall taste was mild and pleasant. I was missing some heartier ingredients and I am not sure why the rather small portion was served lukewarm.
Excellent service every time my wife and I have visited, it’s our favorite spot to dine when we are in St. Pete. Cocktails are excellent and there are a variety of house cocktails on their drink menu. I would rate the Ramen a 4/5, leaving 5 stars reserved for the excellent ones I have had in other cities throughout the United States. Appetizers like Pork Belly Bao Buns, Gyoza/dumplings, and edamame are excellent. Overall, this is a place you should try if you are in St. Pete.
Today we walked in for the lunch special, 1/2 entree w/ 1/2 selected appetizer which is an awesome deal and just enough to fill you up w/o being stuffed. My husband got the pork ramen which was tender, flavorful and a fan favorite w/ bok choy. Mmm. I ordered the grilled chicken ramen, tender chicken thigh w/ edamame and corn(my favorite part of dish. The pork gyoza is outstanding, homemade and lightly pan fried served w/ a chili scallion sauce and the best in the city imo. I’ll continue to eat here despite sometimes slower service. Delicious.
The whole experience here was amazing! Have been meaning to come here forever and Buya did not disappoint! The food, the service, the drinks…all of it was really great. Tara was a fantastic bartender and really made the night special for our group! The drinks she made us were top notch and she was so friendly! The short rib ramen was to die for! We’ll be back soon with an even bigger group next time!
The place is very nice… our waitress Mina was great as well! I enjoyed my food however my partner didn’t enjoy his. I got the short rib ramen and he got the grilled chicken. He felt it was a little bland and the chicken wasn’t as grilled as it was in our grilled chicken bao buns. We were disappointed that they didn’t remove the item from the check although barely touched his food and instead they offered him a creme brûlée that wasn’t that great either. We did enjoy the experience and our service aside from that
