Amazing food, portions, and value. We ordered the fresh rolls, lemongrass beef rice dish, and specialty pho. There for lunch, the prices were excellent and the serving size was large. But what would bring us back was the excellent flavors. It was all so so good.
Literally walked by and saw their pho offerings and I decided to take a chance on this “cool” St Petersburg evening. It was a very good decision. Greeted warmly, served promptly, and the shrimp pho was just the right amount of spicy. Great portion size
This place absolutely slays. There’s some text painted on the wall saying they aim to keep oil to a minimum. The mottos simple, “To cook your meal like they are making it for their family.” So! The lunch special was super affordable at $12 a dish. The chicken curry had this amazing flavor with hints of pepper and yellow curry flavor. The chicken was so succulent and savory. The potatoes in it were a nice touch as they were soft and almost blend into the sauce. It went well over rice. The pan fried onion garnish was bursting with flavor. The Beef Salad was our favorite. The helping was twice what I expected for the price. I really got my fill of veggies and beef. The beef was just to die for. Crispy, hot, tender. A well balanced marinade of sweet and salty. I am a low sodium, low fat calisthenics enthusiast and this was perfect sodium wise for me. Would recommend. 5/5 for sure. Service was polite and good with checking for my partners allergies. We’re both big protein eaters and three lunch items came out to 44 with tip. Plus a Togo box of chicken and beef left!
I really enjoy La V. I was first introduced to the restaurant over a year ago when I was visiting from SRQ and now it's a lunch spot I look forward to when I visit St Pete. The dinner menu is also amazing but for me the real deal is the large portions you receive on the lunch deal that keeps me coming back. That and the Soft Pillows... IYKYK. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Came here with my mom and niece. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. The food was HORRIBLE!! The food may look tasty but it was too sweet, very oily, some of the food had a weird smell, and the food is overpriced for the quality of the food!! I’d say don’t go but if you want to explore and try new foods then go for it!! Overall I got to try Vietnamese food for the first time and I got to experience a new restaurant; which is the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1!
