Good food. The buffalo sauce on the shrimp, and I assume chicken, was a really solid, tangy soft heat. Gumbo special menu was tasty. Service took a minute to acknowledge, but very friendly and on top of it, once they did.
The Galley has that perfect dive bar vibe—casual, a little dark, and just the right amount of character. I sat at the bar and had an espresso martini, which was solid, and ordered the blackened grouper sandwich —delicious. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it a great spot to unwind after work.
Despite the dive bar atmosphere, The Gallery has a surprisingly gourmet dish selection and it definitely delivered! The Yellowfin Sashimi spread appetizer was a standout and almost dissolved in our mouths. Our server, Bida, was awesome and made great drinks from scratch. For entrees I had the Filet sandwich with sweet potato fries. I will say fries are minimal for the service charge but still delicious! The steak portion was great, though, and you couldn’t beat the price of $27 for filet. My boyfriend ordered the Yellowfin burger and it was also a generous portion size.
Food was great! And it was one of the few places to serve a good menu late at night. I had the Philly steak fries. The atmosphere and service was not warm and inviting in the slightest….Even in that dive bar kind of way. In fact, I felt oddly invisible. Service was slow and thankfully, the bar back checked on me. I know that staff aren’t there to entertain me, but a warm welcome or flipping a little shit can go a long ways. I would consider coming back if I need a tasty late night meal with friends, but coming for a drink, no.
Great Food here every thing came out nice and Hot and fresh. The grouper was tasty and spiced Good with a nice crisp. The frys were great also. The chips and salsa were really good also.good service by the bar tender also. Can't ask for much more give them a try.
